Founded in June 1997 to comply with Ho-Am Byung-chull Lee's ideal of contributing to both national economic development and social benefit, the Ho-Am Foundation continues to undertake a host of endeavors. The Foundation’s activities include the Samsung Ho-Am Prize, support for academic research, publications, and exhibitions to promote the expansion and dissemination of science and culture.
